Silverton Casino Hotel Rooms
Now On Sale

Las Vegas hotel roomsThe newly renovated Silverton Casino Lodge rooms will go on sale July 12, 2023, for hotel reservations beginning Oct. 2.  The hotel, which is undergoing a complete renovation, has been closed to create a new boutique hotel experience to anchor the casino resort.

The remodeled hotel features 300 “luxe-lodge” guest rooms and suites including three distinct “design stories,” each with its own curated style, decor, and spirit that will transport guests into a unique experience during every visit:

  • Cowboy Kitsch Collection – rooms featuring a quirky blend of rustic chic with tasteful modern accents
  • Rustic Modern Collection – rooms featuring natural, aged, and weathered furnishings, with the sense of natural warmth of the outdoors
  • Refined Lodge Collection – rooms inspired by the elegant Rockies glam design and the legendary cattle baron homes found in the West.

“This is where luxury meets the rustic charm of a modern lodge,” said Silverton CEO Craig Cavileer.  “Each thoughtfully renovated room has been meticulously designed to be upscale, casual, fun and of course super comfortable.”

The designs were inspired by the company’s award-winning sister property Hotel Drover, a Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel, which opened to national acclaim in 2021 in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards.   Just like Hotel Drover, the Silverton designs include rich details with intentional and eye-catching touchpoints.  Since its opening, the Drover has been recognized by USA Today, Condé Nast, Forbes, and Travel + Leisure for its unique and elegant western glam design, curated art, crafted fixtures, and custom furnishings.

“This is more than a room remodel,” said Kayla Wilkie, director of design and development for Majestic Realty Co, an affiliate of Silverton and Hotel Drover.  “This was an opportunity to creatively reinvent our entire hotel operation in Las Vegas.  While we are keeping aspects of our lodge theme that our guests have enjoyed over the years, our new rooms and suites  will envelop our guests in a new spirit of rustic elegance, providing a unique Las Vegas hotel experience.”

In addition to new rooms, the Silverton renovation has other improvements underway including all-new casino carpet, slot and video poker upgrades, and refreshes to restaurant menus including the Mermaid Lounge,  which will reopen this fall with a fresh new look, and a South Pacific-inspired tapas menu.  Coming in early 2024 is an all-new $12m backyard and pool renovation which will include poolside dining, sports, and movies at the pool, cabanas, fire pits and more.

“We are very excited to present this fresh and innovative design to our customers,” said Cavileer.  “Kayla did a phenomenal job in designing the award-winning Hotel Drover in Fort Worth and she has delivered an amazing product for us here as well.”

Architectural and Interior Design for the Silverton renovation project was provided by Klai Juba Wald, the resort’s architect of record.

Las Vegas Mermaid School

With the premiere of the new live-action version of Disney’s Little Mermaid, mermaids have once again hit popular culture.  That means we officially have a new “most often-asked question” from our guests…

“How can I become a Silverton mermaid?”

mermaid school Las VegasThe Silverton mermaids- the mythical creatures that swim in our aquarium- have put our resort on the map.  And why not?  Legend has it that spotting a mermaid would bring good luck to sailors.  We hear it also works for gamblers in our casino.

But how can a guest join the ranks of these amazing creatures?

You now have an opportunity to put on some fins and become a mermaid yourself… for at least a morning!

The new Mermaid School for Adults (for ages 19 and older) and Mermaid School for Families (for ages 7-adult) give you that opportunity.  These two new classes join Mermaid School for Kids (for ages 7-12), a program we launched in 2019.

Las Vegas Mermaid School

As part of the magical 90-minute Las Vegas Mermaid School experience, fans are transformed into a famed Silverton mermaid and swim in the casino’s 117,000-gallon aquarium, along with thousands of tropical fish and rays.

 Each session includes:

  • A mermaid “warm up” class
  • A Mermaid School photo op
  • A mermaid swim in the aquarium with a tail (sizes available up to XXXL)
  • A behind-the-scenes tour of the aquarium and the sea life that lives within it
  • A voucher for a free post-class mimosa at a casino bar (for participants age 21+)
  • A voucher for a free post-class scoop of gelato at Sundance Grill  (for participants ages 19 or 20)
  • A voucher for 15 percent discount on breakfast or brunch at Sundance Grill
  • And, of course, the experience of a lifetime.

All equipment, including goggles, is provided.  Participants need only bring a swimsuit or towel.  Reservations must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. There is a minimum of two participants per class and a maximum of four.   Note:  this program is intended for participants who are strong swimmers. This is not a scuba program.  Mermaid tails are available up to size XXXL.

Did you know?  Wearing fins and tails to swim is considered the actual sport of mermaiding? True story! Casino.org wrote an article about it.

Live in Las Vegas:
Zach Winningham & Tony Venniro

Performing Live in Las Vegas in May

Zach Winningham — performing live this weekend in Las Vegas at Silverton Casino — hails from the Midwest farm town of Belleville, Indiana. He loved music from an early age, and that passion has transformed into a love of performing.

He grew up in the country, which meant long drives to everywhere. It was during those long country drives that Zach’s father introduced him to ’50s and ’60s Rock N’ Roll, country and bluegrass music. His passion to keep this music alive has driven his musical career and blossomed into a love performing.

After playing music throughout the country for several years, he is now a headline entertainer for cruise lines all over the world.  In fact, he was named  Entertainer of the Year in 2014 by Princess Cruises.

Zach recently moved from Virginia and is excited to call Las Vegas his new home. He plays an outstanding variety of music from all genres, and is a huge hit with every crowd. His musical influences include John Mayer, Sam Cooke, Jason Mraz, The Beatles, Jack Johnson, CCR, Garth Brooks, and many other artists.

He recorded his first CD in Nashville in June 2011, a self-titled album. Zach is thrilled to be playing in Las Vegas and continuing his success.

Silverton – The A.I. Chatbot Musical

We asked the A.I. chatbot at Chat GPT to write the lyrics for a country-music song about Silverton Casino.

We must admit – it didn’t do a bad job… for an A.I. chatbot.  It’s not exactly ready for NFR, but here we go…

Verse 1:

I was down on my luck, just trying to make ends meet
Hitting every casino in town, looking for a winning streak
But then I found a place, that felt just like home
Silverton Casino in Vegas, where the good times roam

Chorus:

Silverton Casino, my lucky charm
Where the slots are hot, and the drinks are strong
From the Massive Aquarium, to the Mermaid Lounge
Silverton Casino, where my heart belongs

Verse 2:

The dealers are friendly, and the staff knows my name
I always feel welcome, in this little slice of fame
The Bass Pro Shops, are a hunter’s paradise
And the restaurants are top-notch, with every cuisine precise

Chorus:

Silverton Casino, my lucky charm
Where the slots are hot, and the drinks are strong
From the Massive Aquarium, to the Mermaid Lounge
Silverton Casino, where my heart belongs

Bridge:

I’ll keep on playing, until my luck runs out
But I know in my heart, that Silverton’s what it’s all about
So come on down, and join the fun
Silverton Casino, where the good times never run

Chorus:

Silverton Casino, my lucky charm
Where the slots are hot, and the drinks are strong
From the Massive Aquarium, to the Mermaid Lounge
Silverton Casino, where my heart belongs

Outro:

So when you’re feeling down, and need a little boost
Come on down to Silverton, where you can let loose
The lights are bright, and the energy’s high
Silverton Casino in Vegas, where dreams can come alive.

What to Pack for Las Vegas

What to Pack for your Las Vegas Vacation

Las Vegas sign selfieLas Vegas is a city that’s known for its lively nightlife, world-class entertainment, and endless array of things to do. If you’re planning a trip to Sin City, you might be wondering what to pack for your Las Vegas vacation. In this blog post, we’ll go over the essential items you should consider bringing with you to make the most of your Las Vegas adventure.

  1. Comfortable walking shoes

Las Vegas is a city that requires a lot of walking, so comfortable shoes are a must. You’ll likely be walking from casino to casino, exploring the Strip, and checking out all the sights and sounds of the city. Be sure to pack shoes that won’t leave your feet aching at the end of the day.

  1. Sunscreen and sunglasses

Las Vegas is located in the middle of the Mojave Desert, which means the sun is always shining. Protect your skin and eyes by packing sunscreen and sunglasses. You’ll thank yourself later when you’re not dealing with sunburn or strained eyes.

  1. Lightweight clothing

Las Vegas is hot, so pack lightweight clothing that will keep you cool and comfortable. During the summer months, temperatures can easily reach 100 degrees, so consider packing breathable fabrics like cotton and linen.

  1. Swimsuit

If you’re planning on hitting the pool or one of the many day clubs in Las Vegas, be sure to pack a swimsuit. Most hotels have pools, so you’ll have plenty of options to choose from. Don’t forget to pack a cover-up or a towel as well.

  1. Evening attire

Las Vegas is known for its nightlife, so be sure to pack something dressy for a night out on the town. Many of the clubs and bars have dress codes, so do your research before you go.

  1. Camera

Las Vegas is a city that’s full of photo opportunities, so be sure to pack a camera — or your cell phone with the best camera. Whether you’re taking pictures of the neon lights on the Strip or snapping shots of the Hoover Dam, you’ll want to capture all the memories of your Las Vegas vacation.

  1. Portable charger

With all the walking and exploring, you’re sure to drain your phone’s battery quickly. Pack a portable charger to ensure you always have a way to stay connected and take pictures.

In conclusion, packing for a Las Vegas vacation requires a mix of practical and stylish items. Comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and lightweight clothing are all essential for exploring the city in the daytime. Swimsuits and dressy clothes are a must for enjoying the nightlife, and a camera and portable charger will help you capture all the memories of your trip. With these items in tow, you’ll be ready to make the most of your Las Vegas vacation.

How to Play Slots

A Beginner’s Guide to Playing Slot Machines in Las Vegas: Tips and Tricks

Winners Club, RichardLas Vegas is known as the entertainment capital of the world, and there’s no better way to experience the excitement than by playing slot machines. Slot machines are easy to play, and they offer the potential for big payouts. In this beginner’s guide, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know to start playing slot machines in Las Vegas, including tips and tricks for maximizing your chances of winning.

Silverton Winners Club

Understanding How Slot Machines Work

Slot machines are a game of chance, where the player spins the reels in hopes of landing winning combinations. The outcome of each spin is determined by a random number generator, which ensures that the game is fair and unbiased. Slot machines have different themes, paylines, and bonus features, which make each game unique.

Tips for Playing Slot Machines in Las Vegas

  1. Set a Budget and Stick to It

Before you start playing, set a budget for yourself and stick to it. Only play with money that you can afford to lose, and never chase your losses. It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of the game, but remember to be responsible with your money.

      2. Take Advantage of Bonuses and Promotions

Las Vegas casinos (like Silverton Casino) offer a variety of bonuses and promotions, which can give you more chances to win. Look for sign-up bonuses, free spins, and other promotions that can increase your bankroll.  (Join up for Silverton Rewards)

     3. Play the Maximum Bet

Many slot machines offer higher payouts when you play the maximum bet. This is because the highest payouts are often associated with the jackpot, which is only available when you bet the maximum.

     4. Know When to Walk Away

It’s important to know when to walk away from a slot machine. If you’ve reached your budget or have been playing for a while without a win, it is usually time to move on to a different game or take a break.

Conclusion

Playing slot machines in Las Vegas can be a fun and exciting experience, but it’s important to play responsibly and know your limits. Look for slot machines with high payout percentages, set a budget, and take advantage of bonuses and promotions. Remember to play the maximum bet when possible and know when to walk away. With a little bit of luck and strategy, you could be the next big winner in Las Vegas!   More slot tips.
