As Thanksgiving approaches, we at Silverton Casino Lodge want to take a moment to reflect on the things we’re truly grateful for. After all, it’s been quite the year—from big wins on the casino floor to delicious new dishes in our restaurants—and we’ve got a lot to be thankful for. So, grab a slice of pumpkin pie (or a cocktail from BAD ELF Pop-Up Bar), sit back, and enjoy this list of all the things that make us feel thankful this year!
We’re extremely thankful for Silverton’s hotel remodel, because nothing says “treat yourself” like upgrading from a room that used to give off “budget trip” vibes to one that screams “I’m on vacation, and I deserve it!” Now, guests can bask in themed luxury while enjoying beds so comfy they practically tuck you in, and bathrooms where the towels don’t judge you when you consider stealing them. The remodel also brought in stylish decor that’ll have you Instagramming your stay like you’re at a five-star resort—without mentioning that you accidentally fell asleep by the pool and missed dinner.
Speaking of the pool, let’s be real — nothing screams “thankful” like lounging by a $10 million resort pool, sipping on a cold drink, and pretending calories don’t exist while you order another round of poolside nachos. Our new pool deck has it all: cabanas, daybeds, fire pits, and a bar that understands your love for both beer and cocktails. We’re thankful for sunny days (that will return again soon!) and good times at The Swimmin’ Hole.
No, not a metaphor. Actual mermaids. These graceful, shimmering creatures in our massive 117,000-gallon aquarium make everyone’s day a little more magical. Whether they’re flipping their tails or waving to guests, we are thankful for their aquatic charm—and, let’s be honest, for the fact that we don’t have to feed them turkey and stuffing.
Here at Silverton, we like to keep our dice game fresh. Whether you’re into electronic craps, Roll to Win, or just good ol’ fashioned regular craps, we’ve got you covered. We’re thankful for the excitement that a good roll of the dice brings—and even more thankful when that roll isn’t a seven. (We still love you, though, Seven.)
It’s not Thanksgiving without a feast, and this year, we’re especially thankful for our friends at Twin Creeks Steakhouse who continue to serve up their legendary Creekstone Farms Tomahawk Steak. It’s huge. It’s juicy. It’s the kind of steak that makes you thankful that stretchy pants are socially acceptable after 6 p.m.
Cider Fest may be over, but we sure miss the cocktails. From cozy apple flavors to that irresistible Carmel Apple Cider Martini, we’re still raising a glass (or two) to all things appley. But don’t worry — the cocktails are still flowing at Shady Grove! We’re thankful that our BAD ELF bar staff has mastered the art of garnishing with precision, making every drink look like it’s straight out of a Pinterest board. And that Cookie Butter Martini? Perfection!
Of course, we’re thankful for you, our fabulous guests, who keep coming back for more fun, food, and good times. Whether you’re here for a night of gaming, a Veil concert, or to enjoy some incredible sushi at Su Casa, you’re the reason we keep raising the bar (and the stakes—pun intended). Thanks for being part of the Silverton family!
Lastly, but definitely not least, we’re thankful for our amazing team here at Silverton. From our front desk wizards to our culinary geniuses, and everyone in between, this place wouldn’t be what it is without them. They work hard every day to make sure your Silverton experience is nothing short of unforgettable—and we couldn’t be more grateful.
So, from all of us here at Silverton Casino Lodge, we wish you a happy, safe, and delicious Thanksgiving! May your plates be full, your glasses always topped off, and your luck ever in your favor. Oh, and if you see a mermaid, make sure to wave back. She’s thankful for you too.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
