Top Questions for Brides Planning
Las Vegas Weddings

Q&AWe sat down with Event Sales Manager Rhonda Robinson and asked her to answer the top questions she gets asked by brides-to-be when planning Las Vegas weddings at Silverton.

Q: Do you provide a coordinator/event manager for the day of your wedding?

A: Yes, yours truly will be onsite the day of your special day to ensure your Las Vegas wedding vision is executed to perfection. Moreover, prior to your Las Vegas wedding day we will work closely together covering every detail from menu selection to diagram customization and everything in between.

Q: Can I bring in my own Las Vegas wedding vendors, such as DJ and photographer?

A: Yes, we allow outside vendors for your Las Vegas events at Veil Pavilion for no additional charge. We also work with preferred vendors that will often offer discounts for booking with Silverton Casino, so either way, we have you covered.

Q: Can I bring in my own catering company?

A: While we do not allow any outside food and beverage at our events, we do offer a full wedding catering menu that includes appetizers, plated and buffet meals, and bar packages. We also have the ability to customize if you don’t see your favorite meal or have a special request. In most cases we are happy to work with the bride and groom to create the perfect menu for your event!

Q: How early can I get into the venue for set up?

A: We will provide ample time for set up on the day of your event.

PRO TIP: Account for tasks to take longer than anticipated on your wedding day. Give yourself plenty of time for set up (better yet, enlist family and friends to help with decor or hire professionals), as well as hair and make-up, dressing, etc. There is no need to create extra, unnecessary stress on your big day.

Q: What if we want the reception to go longer than the time allotted in the venue?

A: You have the opportunity to purchase additional hours in the venue, however it is best to pre-purchase the extra time as there is no guarantee on the day of the event that we will be able to accommodate any extra time for the reception. It is best to plan for the party to keep going!

Q: My ceremony is booked off-site, is there a shuttle available to Silverton for my guests?

A: We do not provide shuttle services, however we can recommend local companies that can provide shuttles, limos, a party bus and transportation of that nature.

PRO TIP: Transportation does not have to be provided to and from the locations; however, it is helpful in creating a stress-free day for both the wedding party and your guests if your ceremony and reception are at two different locations.

Silverton Aquarium Weddings can be wet or dry.

Sheila Kercher, executive director of marketing at Silverton Casino, recently shared her thoughts on why it’s one of the best wedding venues in the city.

While Las Vegas boasts venues to suit any couple, Silverton Casino offers a truly memorable experience.

“Where else can you say you got married while scuba diving in a giant aquarium in the middle of the desert? The answer is Silverton Casino!’’ said Kercher.

Silverton’s saltwater 117,000-gallon aquarium is one of the most breathtaking places to hold your ceremony, and it’s located only minutes away from the Las Vegas Strip.

Her tips for finding the perfect venue for your Las Vegas wedding include holding the ceremony outdoors and keeping the party going.

“The beautiful desert sky at sunset is absolutely stunning,” she said. “The best part is the party never has to end here. The city and its bars are open all night long!”
