Remember when rock bands actually sang? Little River Band does. Eagles’ Glenn Frey called them “the best singing band in the world,” and four decades later, they’re still proving him right.

These Australian rockers carved out serious chart real estate in the ’70s and ’80s with multi-platinum albums and those harmonies you can’t get out of your head. We’re talking 350 million albums, CDs, and downloads worldwide. Songs like “Reminiscing” and “Lady” that soundtracked first kisses, last dances, and every road trip in between.

Leading the charge for 44 years now is Wayne Nelson on bass and vocals, who’s lent his talent to 24 LRB albums. Under his direction, the band keeps delivering those distinctive vocal layers that made them legends in the first place. Sure, they’ve evolved since their scrappy days as Aussies trying to crack the American market. But the music? The memories? Still intact.
